Dr. David Duong, C. Psych.

Dr. Duong received his M.A. from Queen’s University and his Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Waterloo. He also completed a pre-doctoral residency at The Ottawa Hospital (General Campus) and The Ottawa Hospital Rehabilitation Centre. His main clinical interests include assessment and treatment of adults with mood and anxiety disorders, chronic pain, and adjustment to disability or illness. He also has experience treating individuals with post-traumatic stress disorder and health anxiety.
Dr. Duong’s primary approach to therapy is based on cognitive-behavioural theory but he is also influenced by principles and elements of mindfulness, dialectical behaviour therapy, and motivational interviewing.
